- Rugby
- Now this is a mans sports. Except of course for all the women who play. But talk about fun. Where else can you go brutalize your best boys and then drink it up and womenize right there on the field afterwords? That's right, you guessed it, only on the rugby pitch. So if you're not doing anything and you're tired of being confused by one of the rest of the world's most popoular sports... Go play rugby. Oh yeah I meant to that i got my start just a few short years ago on the island of Oahu (you know Hawaii) playing for my beloved Marine Corps (we were the Cornholios at the time) and I've been playing ever since. So I'd just like to thank Mark (the biggest shithead I ever liked) and Chris (my roomie) that got me out there the first time. And crocked off my ass I may well add.
- Volleyball
- How could you live in Hawaii and not play volleyball? Actually it would be pretty easy. You see the beaches really aren't as big as you think they are. So there just aren't as many place to play good beach volleyball. But don't get me wrong, if you want to play there are games to be had. So... I played. I got my start playing beach volleyball the summer before my junior year of high school (this is the summer before my junior year of college) playing in an apartment complex's volleyball pit. Actually I had loved and played volleyball before that but this was the first time somebody set me and I went up and spike the shit outta the net. But man I tell you if I would have hit the ball it would have been brutal. I was hooked. But then I moved to Georgia a few days later. It was criminal. Well I met a guy there who wanted me to go help with the girls volleyball team. So I figured what the heck, they're only girls. But wouldn't you know it the first thing she does is start setting the balls for us two guys to hit at the girls so she can see whose good at picking up and who's not. Well as you can imagine me and my one failed attempt am nervous as can be. But I made my approach, jump, and spanked the silly shit outta that ball. Good lord that net was 6 inches shorter... it was on!! I was spiking like it was the thing to do. And I had a coach to school me though it too. After practices we'd put the net up to guy height and I'd make a fool of myself for a while and then go home. But I learned. And then this same guy (Kahlil) decide we should go get on a guys team. And we did. That was fun for a while. Then I played in the Marine Corps everywhere I went, and it was a good life.
- Windsurfing
- This is truly Hawaiian. Hawaii has long since been known for it's wind and waves. This can account for the fact that Hawaii is know as the Mecca of the wind surfing world. With thousands of miles of unadulterated wind howling across some of the rippin'est waves on the face of the Earth Hawaii is the obvious home of the pro's. Robby Naish himself lives in Kailua on the island of Oahu. And wouldn't you know it... so do I. So what better a place for me to learn to wind-surf than Kailua Bay with the very best. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying any of the pro's would have anything to do with me, it's just cool to be cutting it up on the same turf.
- Rock Climbing
- I can't say that I've been doing this for too long. I just started while I was in Hawaii. I good friend of mine Thomas Strouse introduced me to the challenges along with Peter Lesbo (I know it must have been a rough life).
