www.xoom.comFirst things first, I need to give a shout out to the boys and girls at XOOM. They everso graciously host my wonderful in a most unobtrusive manner. No huge banner on my page, no pop up window taking you away from my page, just a small, well placed link back to there sight. Thank you XOOM. my only fear is that it won't last. www.bigfoot.com Let me first apologize to all the dedicated followers that have been trying to find my page but have been having difficulty due to the frequent URL changes. It is with that in mind that I turned to Bigfoot, who offers URL redirecting. Thank you Bigfoot!! So now, no matter how many times I change ISP's or web hosts you can always get to my website using the same URL: www.bigfoot.com/~acklen ! Yet for as wise as I may be now, I did not always know these things. But owning your own company has it's benefits, like all the web space you want. XOOM hosted my site for the longest time but bombed out after they felt the need to put a navigational aid on MY page.
www.geocities.comGeocities was my first attempt at a free web host. But I kept noticing these nasty pop up windows would appear every time I tried to connect to my site. How very disheartening it was. www.operasoftware.comThis is not what I wanted for my potential surfers and fellow netizens. It was for damn sure not what I wanted for myself. All the pop up windows floating around on the net prompted me to find a way to turn them off. That option came in the form of a new web browser. You see Netscape and MSIE are tied to the all mighty buck and would never piss off all their advertiser by allowing you to turn off banners and pop up windows. They not only had pop ups that also wanted to put a huge banner on my page!! And Tripod and NetTaxi were no better. Where's the love?

Next Boring Page!
